Fruit Stamping Pumpkin Craft

This fruit stamping pumpkin craft is such an easy + fun fall activity for the kiddos. You really only need a few supplies to make these little guys. We used limes for this example, but you can use apples, oranges, lemon.. really any fruit that is available! Our limes were quite round, as you can see, but different types of fruits can change the shape of the stamp, giving you various shaped pumpkins!

SUPPLIES NEEDED:

  • Fruit (apple, lime, lemon or orange, cut down the center)

  • Orange Paint

  • Brush

  • Googly eyes

  • Glue

  • Brown & Green Pipe Cleaners

How-to:

  1. Prep the craft by carefully cutting your piece of fruit in half. I like to do this part before all the little hands get involved!

  2. Using a small paint brush, dab some orange paint on one half of your piece of fruit. Carefully use the fruit as a stamp by pressing it down onto the paper. Make as many as you want! Consider touching up any unpainted parts with your brush.

  3. While the paint is drying, gather your other supplies (googly eyes + pipe cleaners). If you have them, using different size googly eyes is exciting, and can make your pumpkins look silly!

  4. Cut your brown pipe cleaners into small stem sizes. Cut and fold your green pipe cleaner into a hook to look like a straight leaf or twist your green pipe cleaners around a pencil to create a curly leaf.

  5. Glue on your stems + leaves.

  6. Lastly, we glued on our googly eyes. And voilà! You now have cute little painted pumpkins! ENJOY!
