Community is such a vibrant part of Long Beach culture and what makes this city a place we're proud to call home. As a community, we were so grateful for the opportunity to come together and celebrate this past Labor Day! LB Littles delivered an unforgettable event for families all across Long Beach and hosted their first ever Littlepalooza! Taking place on a beautiful day, local small businesses, including GIGIL, came together to fuse a fun blend of creativity and educational activities for families and their “Littles” to enjoy! Set up in true “festival-fashion”, the ladies of Farrah’s Flower Crowns made fresh flower crowns for children to wear while they rocked out to the live music of Kids Imagine Nation from the main stage, or could pair their crowns with colorful face paintings by Paint Me Bright and Silly. Bounce houses, story times, puppet shows and a photo booth were just a few of the activities the littles and their families could partake in! The park was lined with mini pop-up workshops and classes, and guests could walk around munching on tasty food from well-known Long Beach eateries like Rasselbock or even cool off with a sweet treat from Mustache Mike’s Italian Ice!
Among the booths of kid-friendly vendors, you could spend time with local businesses including Fit4Mom, Skatedogs, Spanish From the Heart and We Rock the Spectrum Kids Gym. If we were lucky enough to meet you at our booth, we hope you enjoyed our sensory play bins that we put together for your kiddos! How about those cool sunglasses and mini play-doh’s? Were they diggin' those? Oh, and while we’re on the subject of giveaways, every Littlepalooza attendee got to take home a free gift bag, (not a bad parting gift!).
While all the littles had the opportunity to explore, play and grow with their fellow tots, parents were able to connect with some of their fave local small businesses and establish new relationships. The passion and care that went into Littlepalooza is what drives GIGIL to cultivate a fun place where your kids can learn, play and grow! We want kids to be encouraged that their uniqueness is their ultimate superpower!
An honorable mention to MemorialCare Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital Long Beach for sponsoring such a spectacular event! It’s safe to say that the buzz over the production of next year’s Littlepalooza (we’re crossing our fingers here!) is already in the works! Make sure you get your tickets early for the next LB Littles event! If the rest of them are anything like Littlepalooza, you and your kiddos are sure to have a blast!
